Then why do I hear him yelling and swearing at customers for backing out of a watch deal, and threatening to expose them. In one of his low-budget episodes he says he doesn't want to be on Netflix because he doesn't want to create artificial drama. The dude and his partners come of so arrogant it sickens me. I ran into this Reddit thread because I was wondering if other people had similar opinions such as mine. I have done it wrong for 39 years of my life and I need to reevaluate my career. I have a ton of respect for “The Timepiece Gentleman” as a person, and his story is amazing, but the entirety of his channel makes me feel automatically more douche-y as a watch enthusiast. The entire behind-the-scenes look at how reselling works, really just proves that steel rolex and sports APs are more about hype than horology. I respect everyone’s individual hustle, but his videos give me “uncut gems” vibes. It’s clear that he has a good understanding of watches, but he seems to be more about the $$$ than the actual watches. In my opinion, this guy is everything I hate about watch collecting. I have watched almost every video, and was wondering what the reddit watch community thought of him and his channel. The content is well produced, and it is certainly intriguing. He has a fast growing YouTube channel, that does Q/As and documentary style videos in the day of a watch reseller. You may have also seen him on TikTok or Instagram. His medium is mostly online/social media but they operate a small brick-and-mortar as well. So there’s this guy named Anthony Farrer that operates a watch resale business in the DFW area with his business partner Marco.
