Previously, you completed them whilst exploring the game's biggest dungeon, Mementos, instigating changes of heart in minor criminals. Allowing you to create HP and SP restoring meals, make good use of this, since first-time recipes also increase your BOND meter. If you miss these recipes, Sophia’s shop will sell them later, alongside ingredients. Each city contains different purchasable recipes, allowing you to cook meals from your camper van if you’ve got the necessary ingredients.

Party members gradually learn special moves called Master Arts with continued use, which makes new combo attacks available. Hitting weaknesses stuns Shadows, allowing an All-Out-Attack for heavy damage, for example. Each shadow has weaknesses/resistances and Strikers automatically says what’s effective. Choosing a skill freezes battle, giving you time to tactically manoeuvre. Persona skills are selected from a menu and Joker can wield multiple Personas at once. Players can also deal environmental damage, like destroying cars for a fire attack. If Shadows haven’t spotted you, ambushing them provides an early battle advantage. Strikers does include strategic elements from its predecessor that distinguishes it from Dynasty Warriors.
Unlike Persona 5, there’s no time penalty for this. If you’re running low on stamina or health, players can leave that Jail to refresh everyone and come back. Instead of Palaces, the Phantom Thieves are infiltrating Jails-which function similarly, but don’t disappear upon completion.
